Meet the Mochara Models - Part III - Millie James
It’s finally time to meet the Mochara models (horses too!) - We asked our models to tell us a little bit about themselves, their horses, as well as what they love about a Mochara shoot day… I think it’s particularly important to mention that all of our models are friends of Tara’s and have previously never modelled before, the pictures still look amazing, regardless!!

My name is Amelia James, I am an 18 year old Event rider who has just finished school at Westonbirt. I have plans for a gap year filled with horses and travelling before planning my next stage in life.
In our Mochara shoot, Princess was chosen to model as my main horse Jennie was off work and looked very fluffy… Princess is a 6 year old mare who has previously show jumped to 1.35m. I took her to the NSEA championships as our first show together where she jumped double clears the whole weekend. Having never seen a cross country fence before, I’m really excited to see if she takes to Eventing.
I have owned Couraguneen Jennie for over a year now and we have evented up to Intermediate. Unfortunately, various injuries have meant that we didn’t quite get the 2019 season that we had hoped for, however I hope to finish the season by competing at a 3*, depending on when we get back out.
My favourite Mochara product would have to be the base layers (particularly the pink one). They have become an essential part of my everyday riding wardrobe as well as looking seriously smart when competing. These base layers fit perfectly, are made out of a high quality material and look stunning on; once you have one you’ll be addicted – I highly recommend.
I had the best time shooting for Mochara, despite it being very cold (Tara and I spent our breaks sat on the Aga in an attempt to warm up)! Jo and Nic from ‘Jo Hansford Photography’ worked wonders behind the camera, whilst Tara made me feel so welcome, as well as treating me with plenty of gorgeous goodies! The whole day felt very special and I feel so lucky to work with such a genuine brand. My favourite part about my shoot had to be hearing all about how the company started. I’m beyond excited to see what the future holds for Mochara.
