Here at Team Mochara we are consciously working to provide sustainability within our supply chain and have worked extensively to understand how we can integrate sustainable materials and practices into our products.

As part of our 2022 development, our key focus was to incorporate the use of recycled materials where it would support our sustainability goals but without compromising the quality of our products.

With the help of our amazing product development team, we have identified a core range of new recycled fabrics, trims and accessories that are accredited by the GRS certification.

What is the GRS?

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international, voluntary, full product standard that sets requirements for certification of recycled content, chain of custody, social and environmental practices, and chemical restrictions. The goal of the GRS is to increase use of recycled materials in products and reduce/eliminate the harm caused by its production

Did you know that in theory a product only has to use 20% recycled materials to be validated as recycled?

We can confidently say that our materials use over 75% recycled materials … from the yarn through to the overall finished product, including zippers trims and packaging!!!

BUT there is more, by using materials validated by the GRS we know that the social policies of our suppliers meet the highest standards. This guarantees that the fabulous people in our supply chain have the protection and security they deserve. With the highest health and safety standards to personal development plans, with discrimination and abuse policies in place, we can sleep at night knowing that we buy from ethical manufacturers that value their teams.

Our fabrics are all also certified to GLOBAL Oeko-tex standard 100 :

so.. what does this mean?

• Products certified with OEKO-TEX® do not contain any toxic or allergic substances.
• You can use the products immediately, without having to wash them.
• OEKO-TEX® products are environmentally friendly
• OEKO-TEX® pay close attention to development within legislation, science and organizations.
• It is less likely to be harmful substances in a certified OEKO-TEX® product compared to others
• Guarantees that our fabrics are produced in ethical and sustainable practices.
